To get you started, our Onboarding Team has developed this introductory checklist designed to provide understanding and get you on your feet with your SHARE account. This should help answer any questions you may have and streamline the setup process.
Following these steps, you'll be able to launch engaging content for your location!
Understanding SHARE
Take a moment to review this video that provides an overview of the SHARE platform and its services offered.
Step 1: Account Setup
- Verify Login: Confirm you can access the platform and have set a secure password.
- Organization Profile: Confirm your facility’s name, address, and logo are correctly uploaded for a branded resident experience.
Step 2: Connect Your Hardware
- SHARE Players: Your player will be connected to your community TVs or in-room channels.
- Connectivity Check: Monitor your live displays for updated content to ensure they are Online.
Step 3: Platform Training & Knowledge Base
- Platform Walkthrough: Explore the portal and click through the tabs to see your new features in action, like creating activities, slides, a calendar, and the birthday sections.
- Bookmark Resources: Save the SHARE Knowledge Base link for quick access to setup guides and troubleshooting.
Step 4: Create & Schedule
- Upload Brand Assets: Import your community-specific photos, logos, and resident-focused videos into the Pictures and Video section.
- Build Your Slideshow: Create a sequence of slides including daily menus, activity announcements, and Happy Birthday messages.
- Set the Calendar: Input your community events into the SHARE calendar to automatically generate digital signage schedules.
- Preview the Feed: Use the Preview tool on your Home tab to see exactly how the content will appear on residents' and visitors' screens.
Step 5: On-Demand Activities
- Explore On-Demand content: Browse the On-Demand feature (Trivia, Games, News) available for immediate display.
- Games: Activities that work well for group and individual activities
- News: Displays top news headlines from World News, Entertainment, Business, Health, Technology, and Sports.
- Podcast: Provides residents a library of podcasts, curated by the SHARE team.
- Faith Programs: Partnering with CoroHealth, the On-Demand Feature offers a library of over 1,000 hours of audio and video faith-based programs. This includes sermons, prayers, and spiritual exercises tailored for different faiths.
Step 6: Mobile App
Community App: Keep your community connected with the free Community SHARE App. This is available to staff, residents, and family members to keep up with community events, announcements, photos, and more from their phones.
- Download the SHARE Community App: The SHARE app is available for download on both the App Store for Apple devices and the Google Play Store for Android devices.
- Community Pin: A Community Pin is an identifier that allows residents, family, and staff to access your Community App. Avoid changing your community PIN. If you do, all users will be logged out and need the new PIN to sign back in.
Resident App: The premium resident app takes your community connection to the next level. Along with all the great features of the standard version, residents can enjoy direct messaging and photo sharing with loved ones and staff, create their own private media galleries, and keep track of their daily activity participation.
- Resident Accounts: This gives residents their own personalized app experience. A personal account is automatically generated for every resident added to the admin portal.
- Family Managers: By logging into the SHARE app as a Family Manager, family members can view community information, coordinate their loved one's appointments and media, and monitor their engagement in daily activities.
- Send Messages: The admin portal allows staff members to easily send messages to residents at your community.
- Personal Media Galleries: Family managers have access to manage their loved one's media galleries.
- Activity Participation: By logging into their personal account on the app, Family Managers can view their loved one’s activity attendance on the Resident App.
Step 7: Go Live
- On-Site Verification: Confirm the screen is cycling through your graphics correctly.
